current coffee - Los Altiplanos Natural Espresso
Hidden amongst the mountains of the Datanlí El Diablo Natural Park, Finca Los Altiplanos sits in the Jinotega region of northern Nicaragua and for the last fourteen years has been operated by Ricardo Cuadara. With a family coffee-legacy spanning a century he was always destined to acquire his own farm, and in 2006 the opportunity finally arose.
The decision was made early-on to grown only speciality varietals, and now at full production 20-30% of the farm’s coffee is shade-grown with up to 3500 plants renewed every year. With excellent environmental management 30 hectares of jungle is preserved on the estate providing a diverse backdrop of flora and fauna.
Colonna capsules are compatible with traditional Nespresso® capsule machines.
