The Kirambo Washing Station, established in 1999 and managed by RTC since 2017, is located on the eastern shore of Lake Kivu in Rwanda’s Western Province. This station, known for its commitment to quality, employs a workforce that is predominantly female, including key figures such as Florence, the main field officer, and Esperance, the accountant. Florence has played a crucial role in supporting 500 local farmers who contribute to the station.
The natural processing method used at Kirambo enhances the red fruit sweetness and gentle acidity of the Red Bourbon variety, resulting in a creamy cup with subtle vanilla and white chocolate aromatics. This coffee, cultivated at 1,470 MASL, reflects the care of its producers and the rich agricultural heritage of the region.
Colonna capsules are compatible with traditional Nespresso® capsule machines.
