The island of Java became a major exporter to Europe and later served as a stepping stone for the introduction of coffee to French colonies such as Martinique and Réunion. In more recent years, the island of Bali—particularly the Kintamani district, where this lot of S795 and Kartika was grown—has earned a reputation for producing high-quality specialty coffee.
