The Pacamara varietal was created in El Salvador in 1958 by the Salvadoran Institute for Coffee Research (ISIC). Parcamara is a hybrid that pairs the clean stone fruit acidity of the compact, high-yielding Pacas with the bold, herbaceous intensity of the giant-beaned Maragogype. This Guatemalan lot from Buena Vista in Fraijanes stood out for its clarity and complexity—qualities we’ve come to expect from this farm. It’s not every day you see a Guatemalan Pacamara, making this coffee all the more exciting to share.
