This washed Gesha, grown at 2,180 MASL in Peru's Incahuasi Valley, offers a floral fragrant cup, citrusy with rich tannins and lingering aromatics.
This Gesha micro-lot, produced by Jhenery Chavez, is part of the Incahuasi Cooperative in Cusco, Peru. Established in 2005, the cooperative comprises 494 partners who farm at altitudes between 1,850 and 2,450 MASL. The cooperative's commitment to organic farming and traditional Inca methods, such as Minka (community infrastructure) and Ayni (collaborative farming), ensures both sustainability and quality. This lot undergoes a washed process with dry fermentation, enhancing clarity and accentuating the coffee’s floral and citrus characteristics while maintaining a rich, tea-like complexity. Importantly, the cooperative’s agroforestry practices and organic certifications help preserve the ecosystem, which directly supports the coffee's vibrant and unique profile.
