Ferney Cruz and Yenny Ramos are a husband-and-wife team working on 5-hectare farm in the Ricabrisa vereda of Tarqui, Huila. Finca El Prado is situated in a remote location with no road access. Every morning, they make the hour-long walk up the mountain from their home to their farm. After a long day's work, they carry wet parchment down on horseback, 150 kilos at a time, to dry it next to their home. The lower altitude of 1,400 metres offers warmer, more stable conditions for drying.
