017 - Typica Mejorado Washed

Characterised by a clean, balanced, and complex profile; this coffee offers notes of botanicals, creaminess, and a tea-like essence, highlighted by white flowers and blossom.

We proudly present the Typica Mejorado Washed from Finca Soledad, situated in the Intag Valley, a United Nations World Heritage GEOPARK. This coffee highlights the farm's commitment to eco-friendly farming, with 115 of its 120 hectares devoted to forest conservation, underscoring a pledge to sustainable coffee cultivation.

Cultivated at elevations of 1515 to 1750 metres above sea level, the Typica Mejorado Washed thrives under a dense canopy, producing optimal shade and a minimal environmental footprint. This variety, grown on just 5 hectares, benefits from a focus on quality and biodynamic practices in harmony with the ecosystem's natural rhythm. The precise washed process enhances the bean's inherent qualities, revealing the Intag Valley's distinct terroir.

Our direct relationship with producers like Finca Soledad ensures our coffees represent excellence in flavour and sustainability. Pepe, the farm's producer, shares, "At Finca Soledad, we embrace the philosophy of respecting and understanding nature's silent language to transform our coffee fruits into 'happy beans'. Our processes, modulating environment, temperature, and time without extreme changes, aim for minimal stress, ensuring the beans, when roasted, shine with synergy and happiness."
