Limited Release

012 - Lupe Maria CGLE

The CGLE Las Margaritas farm in western Colombia is home to the incredible “garden of varieties”, from which we have selected this stunning Lupe Maria lot for our twelfth Limited Release Rare.

Originally brought to the farm from the Galapagos Islands by CGLE’s director or quality, the cultivar is a cross of SL28, more typically associated with Kenya, and Bourbon Sidra. We feel truly privileged to present this coffee as the lot we have secured is the very last one produced on the farm, with different varietals now having taken its place.

An area of breathtaking natural beauty crossed by a river and filled with lush vegetation, Las Margaritas farm has a team highly dedicated to preserving the ecological balance across the entire estate, and under the watchful eye of Juan Carlos the farm continues to conscientiously upgrade their processing facilities whilst carefully preserving the natural habitat.

This Lupe Maria lot is a natural, dry barrel-fermentation lot, closely monitored within containers before two days of mechanical drying and a final round of solar drying at the nearby Postosi farm. The result is a coffee we can’t wait for you to experience and your final chance to taste this intriguing cultivar.

2 bag maximum per customer.

Store in a cool, dry place.

In nitrogen-flushed, valveless bags, oxygen content is reduced to under 3%, preserving optimal quality for up to 9 months.

Once open we recommend using within 7 days.
