Current - Las Lajas Micromill Black Honey

This Costa Rican Caturra-Catuai, cultivated at 1,600 MASL, displays a profile reminiscent of juicy purple fruits, with a boozy acidity throughout and a soft spice finish.

Las Lajas Micromill, managed by third-generation producers Oscar and Francisca Chacón, offers an exceptional microlot from Finca La Julia. Located in Costa Rica's Central Valley, this coffee benefits from the region's ideal growing conditions. The Chacóns, among the first in Costa Rica to adopt Honey and Natural processing, began their micromill journey in 2005 to enhance quality control and pricing. The Black Honey process involves careful drying and minimal movement of the coffee cherries, with a portion of their pulp intact, resulting in enhanced sweetness and complexity. This microlot features a refined cup with a complex profile, perfect for our Rare genre.
